The 1 FC Union Berlin is pleased with its members, fans and sponsors to new challenges and passionate football in the new year and wishes you a Happy New Year 2010!

The 1 FC Union Berlin started on Monday at 9:30 clock in preparation for the second half of the second division 2009/2010 season.

The first training session coach Uwe Neuhaus welcomed addition to the professionals, four A-juniors of the 1st FC Union Berlin. Philip Green Mountain, Fabian Fritsche, Marcus and Mlynikowski Boné Uaferro will practice in the coming days with the first team.
Consideration must also be with Paul Thomik another player on trial before the old forester. The 1.78 m wide midfielder at last stood at VfL Osnabrueck under contract and is currently a club.

Heavy fog hung over the winter the festively decorated stadium at the old forester’s house. On the occasion of the seventh Christmas singing Christian spokesman, welcomed the stadium and has 8000 visitors to the traditional tuning for Christmas in the newly renovated home match of the 1st-place FC Union Berlin. What a few years ago with about 50 members of fan clubs, “began Old Union,” has now become an integral part of the Christmas holidays of many Berliners developed: On 23 December by 19 clock it goes on to Köpenick on the carol singing in the Union.

Last year, the festive gathering was moved because of construction work in the traditional exception to the stadium before the Luisenhain Köpenick city hall. This year it’s back in the “salon”, the beautifully renovated stadium at the old forester’s house. Where else the second league of professional fighting “Iron” for points and loudly from the sidelines “Eisern Union” is heard, it goes to just before Christmas Eve, we quietly contemplative. The stadium shining in the light of thousands of candles, from as many voices sounded familiar Christmas carols. There are mulled wine for the adults and chocolate for the children and of course the Christmas story for everyone.
Among the many unions mix every year more people who have probably never seen before from a Union game. For most this will soon change. The almost legendary cohesion of the old forester also unfolds and just shortly before the festival’s special magic.
The stadium at the old forester opens on 23 December at 17:30 Clock its doors.

The 1 FC Union Berlin will be offering the test players Tobias Grahn and Jeremy Karikari no contracts. The Swedish striker and the time at VfB Stuttgart (U23) play Defensivallrounder had in the past week completed a multi-day trial training.
“The two have left a good impression, playing at this stage in our planning but no role,” said sporting director Christian Beeck union’s decision.
